Are the Estate Series worms safe?
The worms are safer than several of the apples. They are orchard-raised, handled gently, and each one is accounted for at the scale. If your resident is not home at weigh-out, the stand will note it on your receipt, and no, that does not change the price.
Do you spray?
No. The tenants have organized, and honestly the orchard stopped responding to chemistry sometime in the eighties. What grows here grows here on its own terms.
Why does The Ballpark taste like that?
Research continues. A university took samples in 2019 and has not called back. The tree stands between two normal trees and neither of them does it, which is the part that bothers us.
Is The Fermenter legal?
In this county, yes. We card at row 9, the pour, such as it is, stays on the branch, and the sheriff picks a peck every November, which we consider an inspection.
What should I bring?
Boots in spring, gloves in winter, jars for the Old Mushy rows, and about a minute of patience for the row 12 waiver. Milk is sold at the stand and you should not need to ask why by the time you need it.
Can I return an apple?
We offer exchanges of equal or stranger value. The regret bin by the scale is free and no one will ask questions. Estate Series returns must include the resident or a written explanation.
Why is the Dorm Fridge like that?
We do not know. We stopped watering that row in 2014 to discourage it, and it had its best year. Some things you grow, and some things you host.
Do you ship fresh apples?
Store goods ship anywhere. Fresh fruit is pick-your-own only, partly for freshness and partly because two carriers have asked us, in writing, to stop.
