All times Eastern. Gates open ninety minutes before play, and the gate queue is scored by nobody, though many guests treat it as a warm-up event. Play proceeds in silence; applause is permitted between rounds, at a respectful volume.

Where to be when it ends
The final six hours are the quietest ticket in sport. The gallery packs in ten deep, the lights come down to competition level, and for long stretches the only sound in the building is the hum of the scoreboard. Guests of the Velvet Lounge watch from above, behind glass, with champagne they are asked to pour gently.
