Give, join, or adopt
We receive no public funding, for reasons that will be obvious. Every Register survey, bronze plaque, and legal filing is paid for by members and donors. Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What a gift does
$25 buys a folding ruler, a reflective vest, and a season of chalk for marking survey points.
$60 pays for one pothole's quarterly condition survey for a full year.
$150 keeps a vigil volunteer in coffee, hand warmers, and a folding chair for one week of an active patching threat.
$500 covers the filing fee for one emergency petition to the borough.

Members keep the Register running. Every level includes a subscription to The Depression, our quarterly newsletter.
Adopt a pothole
Choose a pothole from the Register and preview your personalized Certificate of Adoption. Adopters receive quarterly condition reports with photographs and depth readings, their name on the pothole's Register page, and an invitation to its anniversary.
Leave a mark
A bequest to the Pothole Preservation Society protects the Register for generations of drivers you will never meet. Several of our members have arranged for their ashes to be scattered at a pothole of their choosing. We can help with the paperwork, though not with the borough.
Call the office Tuesday or Thursday, 10 to 2, and ask for the planned giving committee.
